This is my first post for the year 2017 and for me, it’s been very adventurous till now. Yesterday only, I got back from Rishikesh, where I, my baby and hubby celebrated our 31st night in a camp in Shivpuri. This was my first camping experience and that too with a 2 years old baby in hand. But this unplanned trip will always remain special in my heart and memories. We clicked some beautiful pictures, played antakshri by the river side, danced and did some candid talks while sipping some sweet and sour drinks. All in all it was a great start to 2017 and now I am fully energized and set to roll for the year ahead. The past year had been great and gave some clear direction to my professional life; I took up blogging as a full-time career option. This is something I love doing and it also allows me to take care of my three babies (hubby, baby, and sweet home). I cannot ask for more!
In April, 2016 because of husband’s job change, we shifted to Chandigarh from Delhi and now I feel this shift is the best thing happened to us. I am slowly falling in love with this place for its environment and location. I am sorry Delhi, but I do not miss you much!
I would like to thank mycity4kids.com for making me a ‘Mommy Blogger’. After I started my blog on this site, only then I got to know that I can write great posts. Many of my posts went trending on this site. For those who don’t know, this is the largest content platform for parents in India. Through this site, I got the opportunity to write for brands like Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Dettol and Pampers. In association with MC4K, I was also invited to attend the Blogger’s Meet organised by these brands. It surely gave wings and clear direction to my career. After becoming a mommy, I was unhappy from my career point of view as I could not rejoin my previous job because of obvious reasons. But now, I have become a mommy blogger and the owner of this site. It’s true “When one door closes, another door opens”. All thanks to my husband for supporting me in my choices and helping me in taking this decision.
I am lucky to have so loving and caring parents and in-laws, who are always there for three of us. They are our pillars of strength. Life is incomplete without them. We three love you all. Thank you for everything!
I would also like to thank my ex-boss (Mr. Kapil Gupta), who is helping me in designing and creating this self-hosted blog. Thank you so much, Sir. I have learnt so much while working with you.
Now changing gears; as almost 4 days of the New Year have already gone and I am yet to plan things for this year. In my case, planning doesn’t work much. My moods and plans change at a very fast pace. So here I am listing down things, which I really want to do this year:
- To take this self-hosted blog to the next level
- To attend more blogger’s meet
- To be regular with mycity4kids.com
- To do some guest posts for other blogs
- To connect with more people
- To earn more
- To read more blogs and books
- To explore new places
- To take care of my health and body
- To learn something new
- To go with the flow
I think the best thing that one can do to remain happy is – ‘Go with the flow’ and ‘Focus on your Karma’. ‘Do Good & Be Good’. Rest will be taken care of by God.
Happy New Year! 🙂
